Alright, ready to tackle another side quest? This one's called 'Defender of the Light.' To get started, head back to the Temple of Light in Oakfield. You'll see the Defender of the Light himself standing there with a big yellow exclamation mark over his head. He's going to ask you to protect the wellspring from some nasty Shadow-worshippers. Once you accept the quest, make your way to the Wellspring and head into the cave. Don't worry, it's not entirely new territory – we'll be retracing some steps from the 'Hero of Strength' story quest. Just follow the path through the cave until you reach that familiar spot with the three pressure pads.

First up, head into the left passage. Work your way through the cavern until you reach the pool at the end. You'll spot a shadow-worshipper chilling on one of the pressure pads you've used before. As you get closer, a couple of bandits will drop down and attack. Take them out to cleanse the first pool. After that, head back to the main switch room.

Keep moving forward, straight through the gate on the opposite side of the room. You'll need to repeat the same process here as you did for the first pool. Clear out any enemies and cleanse the area.

Return to the central room once more. Now, go through the final door. As you step out into the open area at the end of the tunnel, you're going to run into a boss-type bandit named Cornelius Grimm. He's got some backup, so be ready! First, you'll have to fight off a couple of his cronies. After you deal with them, he'll summon a large group of hollow men to attack you. Take down both waves of hollow men he throws at you. Once they're dealt with, Cornelius Grimm will finally step into the ring himself. Eliminate him, then head up the nearby stairs and talk to the Abbot. That's the quest done!

- When facing Cornelius Grimm, focus on clearing out the waves of hollow men first. They can overwhelm you if you let them pile up.
