You'll absolutely need that Lightning Rune to blast through a Green Elementum Pillar early on. Once you get to the easternmost section, look towards the northwest corner. You'll find 3 Gold Ore nodes tucked away there. To actually reach them, you'll need CJ's double-jump and Isha's hover to get past some gates. If you want to farm it efficiently, fast travel to the 'Charred Crossing' signpost and duck into the tunnel right next to it. Inside, you'll find 3 Gold Ore nodes. The next area over has 2 more nodes, and conveniently, there's another signpost nearby. This means you can grab those, dip out of the dungeon, and re-enter to make the nodes respawn. Easy farming!
Finally, don't forget about the Trading Post! If you're short on Gold Ore but have other materials, you can trade.
