How to Unlock Hard Difficulty

So, you've conquered Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising once and are ready for a real challenge, huh? Hard Mode is locked away on your first playthrough, but don't worry, it's not gone forever. Once you beat the main story, the game gives you a post-game save. Loading that up will unlock the option to switch to Hard difficulty.

If you want to change it up later, just head back to your base in the Residential District. You'll find a new option there to toggle between difficulties.

Hard Mode Differences

Honestly, Hard Mode doesn't add any new content compared to the normal difficulty. It's pretty much the same game, just tougher. The main changes are:

• All enemies get a level boost, with bosses typically sitting around level 55.
• Bosses might throw in a few extra tricks – for instance, the Hollow Plant boss can summon more spiders during the fight.
• Because enemies are tougher, they'll give you more experience points. Just remember, the game caps experience from a single enemy at 9,999, so any potential gains beyond that won't count.
