Discover the locations and details of all Mementos collectibles in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, including base game, DLC, and event-specific items. Learn how to find them all.

Mementos are collectible written works found throughout Dying Light 2 Stay Human. As of March 9, 2026, there are 209 mementos in total, categorized into base game, Chapter 2, Bloody Ties DLC, The Walking Dead event, Firearms Update, and Patch 1.27 additions.

While most mementos are found through exploration, some have been introduced through mechanics like RNG, event participation, or direct purchase. The Patch 1.27 update added 33 mementos, with 10 available from enemy drops in outbreak zones and 4 community rewards. The Black Hand bundle requires purchasing an outfit and grinding for drops, while the Year of the Horse event in February 2026 involved opening lootboxes for event-specific notes. The Walking Dead comic-cover items were available during an event and later purchasable.

Achievements:

• Archivist: Find all 117 original collectible notes. Some notes are missable and tied to story choices.
• Connoisseur: Find all 36 Carnage Hall collectibles (32 mementos and 4 tapes) from the Bloody Ties DLC. Some items are missable.

List of Mementos (Base Game Excerpt):

1. Newspaper Article - October 11th, 2020: Found in the Prologue area, the villa, or alternatively in Old Villedor, Trinity, northwest.
2. Letter - Goodbye Letter: A story-related letter found in the Prologue area, the villa.
3. Paradise Lost, Book IV: Located in the Prologue area, a small church on a cliff above the water, or alternatively in Central Loop, Saint Paul Island, Chapel of the Resurrection.
4. GRE Quartermaster Pike #1: A GRE report found in Old Villedor, Houndfield, middle, underground parking lot during the "The Ball is in Your Court" side quest.
5. GRE Quartermaster Pike #2: Another GRE report in the same area.
6. GRE Quartermaster Pike #3: A third GRE report in the same area.
7. The Carriers Guild Assault: A Renegade Report found in Old Villedor, Houndfield, south, in a building.
