Spells can turn the tide of battle, offering powerful offensive, defensive, or utility effects. Soul Crystals are required to cast them, often generated by the Alchemical Transgressor.

• Summon (Power of Darkness I & II): Summons undead knights that act as weak meat shields. Useful in a pinch, especially in final missions, for ambushing siege weapons or distracting large groups. Even 30 summoned units can be quickly destroyed by siege weapons, so use them strategically for distraction.
• Astral Ray (Wide Astral Channel): An amazing ability to remove unwanted units from the map. The 'Wide Astral Channel' upgrade makes it more effective at quickly removing siege units, saving your Soul Crystals.
• Mass Healing (Healing of Magic Nature) (Essential): Extremely strong. The upgrade allows you to fully heal a group of your troops and grants +8 regeneration, making them very tanky. This cheap spell (2 Soul Crystals) can save high-tier units from being overrun.
• Meteor: No upgrades available. Useful for speeding up gameplay and minimizing losses when you have many Soul Crystals. Best used on packed enemy areas, such as units bunched up near your walls. It's expensive, so use it wisely; a combination of other spells might offer better value.
