You can find your Resonance score on your inventory screen, represented by a golden icon with a numerical value above your helmet equipment slot. This score is not visible until you acquire an item that grants Resonance, such as Legendary Gems, which are obtained by progressing through the main questline, reaching Westmarch, and completing the Elder Rift tutorial.

Resonance significantly impacts your overall effectiveness in combat. While most gear provides flat bonuses to Damage or Life, along with Magic and potentially Legendary Properties, it also grants Attribute bonuses. Your Resonance score acts as a multiplier for these Base Attribute bonuses. Since derived stats like Armor, Armor Penetration, Combat Rating, Damage, Life, Potency, and Resistance are all influenced by your Attributes, a higher Resonance score leads to a greater percentage bonus to these stats.

The primary source of Resonance in diablo immortal is through Legendary Gems. The more Legendary Gems you have equipped, their Star-Rating, and their upgrade level, the more Resonance they provide. As Legendary Gems are heavily tied to spending money in the game, your Resonance score and combat prowess are effectively gated by your willingness to purchase Legendary Crests and engage in Elder Rifts. Refraining from spending money will significantly slow down your accumulation of Legendary Gems, resulting in fewer gems, lower quality gems, and fewer excess gems for upgrading.

Free Legendary Crests, which are necessary for opening Elder Rifts and guaranteeing a Legendary Gem drop, can be earned slowly through the Battle Pass or by purchasing them from the Hilts Trader. You can also buy Legendary Crests from the Crest Merchant. Additionally, Legendary Gems can be crafted at a Jeweler using Runes (acquired from Elder Rifts, even with Rare Crests) or purchased directly from the Market using Platinum.
