Unlock the Jeweler in diablo immortal by completing quests like 'Diamond in the Rough'. Learn to manage, craft, and upgrade Normal and Legendary Gems.

You can find Jewelers in various settlements throughout Sanctuary. To utilize a Jeweler's services, you need both a gem and an item with sockets. You will typically find socketed gear before you find gems. To obtain a gem, progress the main questline until you encounter Lethes after the [Mad King’s Breach] dungeon. Then, travel to Westmarch and complete the main quest objectives “Legends of Eld” and “Braving the Rift,” which are part of the [Elder Rift tutorial]. Following this, complete the “Bounties Abroad” objective (the [Bounty tutorial]) and start the “Diamond in the Rough” main quest. Assist a Jeweler named Vic and escort him to his shop. Initially, your interaction will be limited to socketing the gem found during the Elder Rift Tutorial, but this process applies to subsequent gems.

Later, you can visit other Jewelers to “Manage” your gem loadout and “Craft” gems.

1. Encounter Lethes after the [Mad King’s Breach] dungeon.
2. Complete “Legends of Eld” and “Braving the Rift” (part of the [Elder Rift tutorial]).
3. Complete “Bounties Abroad” (the [Bounty tutorial]).
4. Start and complete the “Diamond in the Rough” main quest, assisting Vic.

Normal Gems and Legendary Gems

There are two types of gems in diablo immortal: Normal Gems and Legendary Gems.

• Normal Gems: Can be socketed into Secondary Gear (amulets, rings, gloves, belts, boots). They provide stat bonuses. Sockets are color-coded: Rubies and Tourmalines for red, Aquamarines and Sapphires for blue, and Citrines and Topazes for yellow.
• Legendary Gems: Have unique effects and only one of each type can be equipped at a time. They can be socketed into Primary Gear (helmet, chest armor, shoulders, legs, and main/off-hand weapons).

Managing Gems

The “Manage” service includes socketing, removing, and upgrading gems. Socketing and removing gems are free and can be done automatically when equipping new gear.

Upgrading Gems:

• Legendary Gems: Increase their rank by cannibalizing other Legendary Gems. The Gem Power gained depends on the consumed gem's Star Count. Excess Gem Power is stored as Gem Fragments (1 Gem Power = 1 Gem Fragment). Higher ranks and Star Counts require more Gem Power and eventually duplicate Legendary Gems of the same type to upgrade.
• Normal Gems: Three gems of the same type combine to form a higher-rank gem (e.g., three Rank 1 Tourmalines make one Rank 2 Tourmaline). From Rank 6 onwards, Echo Crystals are required as a secondary catalyst.

Crafting Gems

You can craft gems at the Jeweler, specifically Legendary Gems. Crafting requires Runes, which can drop from Elder Rifts. Different recipes need different Runes. You can directly craft specific 1-Star and 2-Star gems. For a chance at up to 5-Star gems, use the “Random Legendary Gem” formula.
