Master the final challenges of Devil May Cry 5's epilogue! Learn strategies for Nero and Dante's post-credit fights and unlock the 'A New Job' trophy.

Alright, so you've beaten the main story of Devil May Cry 5 – nice job! But don't put the controller down just yet, because there's a little something extra after the credits roll. Once you're done watching the cutscene with Nero and Nico in the van, you'll actually get to take control of Nero again.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
You'll be thrown into a fight with no HUD, so don't worry about your style meter or health bar. Just focus on taking down the enemies. You'll face off against Empusas, Empusa Queens, Hell Cainas, and Hell Antenoras. The final wave will be a single Hell Judecca. If you see more Cainas and Antenoras after that, it means you're doing great, and Nico will give you some props.
  2. 2
After that, a few more scenes will play out, and then you'll be in a similar situation, but this time as Dante. You'll be going head-to-head with Vergil to see who can rack up more enemy kills. Don't stress about your style rank here; just go wild with combos. Vergil's enemies are a bit tougher, including Riots, Chaos, Behemoths, Baphomets, Scudo Angelos, and even a Proto Angelo. It's a bit chaotic, and since there's no HUD, it's tough to tell when your Devil Trigger is ready.
Tips
  • The fights in the epilogue are mainly for bragging rights and unlocking the A New Job trophy/achievement. Don't stress too much about them; just enjoy the ride.
  • Pay attention to the prompts at the end of the game. You'll unlock the ability to use Nero's Devil Trigger and Devil Breakers in any mission, plus alternate costumes, Son of Sparda mode, Bloody Palace (with the latest patch), new skills, and the option to switch Dante's Devil Sword.
  • This is your cue to jump into the higher difficulties and really show those demons who's boss!

Upon completing the epilogue and seeing the final scenes, you'll unlock the A New Job trophy/achievement. You'll also gain access to Nero's Devil Trigger and Devil Breakers in all missions, alternate costumes, Son of Sparda mode, Bloody Palace (if patched), new skills, and the ability to switch Dante's Devil Sword.
