Walkthrough
- 1In the Tram Station, collect three items before proceeding through the door after the vid.
- 2In the Atrium Hallway, pick up an item on the floor, survive two scares, and reach the store.
- 3In the Main Atrium, find an audio log up and to the right. Collect three items near the computers and items from several open boxes on the sides. You can return to the store to sell or store items. Proceed up the middle to a save station. Turn around and take the lift down. Note: There are about 8 additional boxes on the sides of this area that are hard to spot. You can pick up extra ammo for other guns if you have four or so empty spots, as you can easily drop them if you don't sell them.
- 4In the Captain's Nest, find a schematic at the bottom, then go through the door to meet Hammond. Collect items from four boxes on the walls (two should be open), a box on the left, and read a text log after Hammond finishes talking. Exit for a scare, then take the lift up.
- 5Objective: Activate Elevators. Save if desired. Head to the door behind the elevators to encounter your first Brute. Use stasis (a stasis pack might be needed if your stasis power is low) to freeze it, run behind it, and aim for any yellow weak points. You can also hit yellow areas on its shoulders from the front, but its back is easier to target. Use Line Gun ammo on its back. If you run out, shoot between its armor at the joints. When damaged, it will stand, shake, and shoot a blob; you can kinesis this blob back or avoid it by moving. A few line racks and Cutter ammo, plus about three stasis blasts, should defeat it.
- 6After defeating the Brute, enter the room, turn on the elevators at the computer, collect a power node, grab items in the back closet, and use the bench. You should have 3 or so power nodes to spend. Exit and take the first elevator up to Ship Systems.
- 7Objective: Re-route ADS Power. Watch a video. Collect three items in the first room, then save. Enter the closet ahead, kill the slasher before it wakes up, collect items, recharge, and grab the schematic outside the door. Continue to a room with missing floor panels; be careful not to step on them. An enemy behind the walls will step on a panel.
- 8Continue to the right, watch a baby enemy get flung to the ceiling, and avoid the floor panels. Go around the corner for a baby enemy attack. As you continue, a slasher will emerge from the ground where you entered the area; wait for it and kill it. Around the next corner, two baby enemies will attack; defeat them quickly.
- 9Recharge your stasis on the wall. Move clutter, go left, and walk forward to encounter a second Brute. Use stasis on it, shoot its shoulders, then maneuver left around a pillar in the corner, ensuring it follows. It may get stuck in the corner, allowing you to defeat it with the Cutter aimed at its shoulders. Alternatively, use stasis and aim for the shoulders while maneuvering.
- 10After defeating the second Brute, go to the back, stasis the wires, go around them, and use the panel to get the first ADS power. Grab the med pack in the corner if needed. Return to the save point, encountering two slashers in the hall with the save station. Save and head back down.
- 11Five leapers will attack from walls and unseen places. Use the Cutter for long-range attacks or the Line Gun if you have ample ammo. Kill them, collect dropped items, and exit the atrium to reach the store.
- 12One of your schematics yields a level 3 RIG; acquire it. Consider storing the Flamethrower and buying the Contact Beam, skipping the Pulse Rifle. Your loadout should ideally include the Cutter, Contact Beam, and Line Gun, possibly the Ripper. Save if you wish.
- 13Take the elevator facing the save station to Level 1. Note: It is impossible to get all logs in this chapter on a first playthrough; a second playthrough is required, and you must switch the order of obtaining the next two ADS power sources. To get the out-of-order one first, go to Level 3 now.
- 14In the Mining Administration Hallway, open two boxes, one on the wall that should be closed. Save and exit the door. Move forward; the area will become a vacuum. Look out the door and use kinesis to grab an item to the right. You can retreat to a closet up the hall for items and a bench; save your power node for a door or buy the first air node for the RIG if necessary. Return to the hallway and proceed through two doors into the admin area.
- 15In Mining Administration, to avoid supers after pressing a button, kinesis both bodies on the ground into the gravity tiles and shoot the legs off the ones above your head. Two supers are in front of you; charge the Contact Beam and defeat them. To the left is a single item in a box. To the right is a storage area with a text log, items, and a power node. When returning to the main room, a door on the right and up requires one node to open; open it if you choose.
Tips
- On Hard difficulty, you could buy the level 3 suit if desired, but it's not essential.
- If you don't have any stasis power, use a stasis pack when encountering the Brute.
- Consider storing the Flamethrower and buying the Contact Beam, skipping the Pulse Rifle.
- If you need to save a power node, you can buy the first air node for the RIG instead of using a node on a door.
- To avoid supers later, kinesis the bodies on the ground into gravity tiles and shoot the legs off the ones above your head before pressing the button.
