Learn how to safely dispose of the unstable warhead in the Valor ship's Torpedo Bay during Chapter 9 of Dead Space (Remake). Follow these steps to avoid critical explosions.
Alright, we're about to deal with a pretty tense situation involving a live warhead on the Valor ship in Chapter 9. First things first, there's a save point right outside the room we're about to enter, the Torpedo Bay. Seriously, use it! If things go sideways, you'll be glad you did.
As you step into the Torpedo Bay, you'll see the warhead. Notice the electrical points on either side? There are six of them in total. Your main goal here is to shoot all six of these to cut the power keeping the warhead in place.
Now, as you get closer to the warhead, expect an Exploder or Bomber to come charging at you, usually from the left. This guy is carrying a bomb satchel, so be super careful not to hit that. Aim for its limbs or body to take it down. If it gets too close, it'll drop that satchel and blow up, which will, in turn, set off the unstable warhead. You should have enough time to shoot it as it runs, but if you're feeling nervous, don't hesitate to slow it down with your Stasis Module.
Once that first Exploder is down, there's another one on the right side of the room. This one is stuck behind some rubble, so you don't need to worry about killing it. Just make sure you don't get too close, or it'll explode and take you with it. In that same rubble pile, you'll find a battery. Use your Kinesis Module to grab it. Then, you need to take that battery over to the left side of the wall (as you entered the room) and place it in the slot. This will power up a control panel nearby. Interact with that panel, and you'll be able to dispose of the warhead safely.
