    Return to the caverns and speak with Ladle. Inform him about the mercenaries and your assistance to the poisoned Crusaders, receiving potions (stone giant strength, speed, absorption).

    Proceed north, cross the bridge, and ascend stairs to a door. Inside, Gurgle and Floss, two sahuagin, will allow passage if you tell them a story. Use your wand (water elemental summoning) and promise another tale upon your return. Locate two crates against the north wall containing a potion (2 extra healing) and a gem (sphene). Exit through the west door.

    Follow the river west until you encounter a red myconid and Bellowgulp Bluefingers. He and the Concocter sell potions, including extra healing.

Calm them and listen to their story of falling in battle at Dragonspear Castle and becoming lost. Agree to take their remains and place them on the Fugue plane, receiving a ring (flame dance), a gem (bloodstone), arrows (40 +2, 20 piercing), and a throwing dagger +1. Retrieve the ettin bone club +1 from the ettin's corpse and return to the main cavern.

    In cave (BD0113), south of the previous cave, a glowing purple crack in the wall will be noted by Dynaheir and Minsc. A secret door is revealed; enter and defeat four blind albino wyrmlings. Search for a hidden cache containing the journal of Ithtaerus and a shadow gem. Return to the main cavern.

    Go north and open the earlier door to witness Crusaders fighting drow and driders. They cease hostilities to parley. If Viconia is present, a drow recognizes her. The drow are searching for two young ones; inform them you met them and they are heading to the surface, causing the drow party to depart immediately.

    After the drow leave, speak with Therli, who thanks you for saving their lives (gargoyle cloak) before departing.

    Return to the cavern and proceed west, past a mage summoning water elementals. If you defeat the mage (mage robe of cold resistance, dagger +2 Elements Fury), the elementals are freed, and a neried appears to give you a gift (purification stone). Attempt this when no patrols are present to avoid additional combat.

    North of the mage is a camp with three Crusaders and a story to be told.

    Go south and cross the stones in the river. You will be confronted by a ghost ettin. Convince him he is dead, inquire why he remains, and agree to find his club. Once you retrieve it, remind him of his purpose to cross over. He departs, leaving his loincloth behind (3,000xp, cloak of the strange beast).

    Return north, past the camp, to a door guarded by three Crusaders. Turin Brassbreaker will question your business. Do not reveal your name, but show Caelar's crest and state that revealing your business would not be a favor to them. They will grant passage into the Warrens.

    In Kanaglym (BD5300), ignore the doors as they cannot be opened. To the west, rubble blocks passage. To the east, undead and a trap precede a wall with a hidden stash (spells [conjure lesser air elemental, minor spell turning]). Proceed south.

    Across the bridge, two dark mages prepare to sacrifice beggars. To the east, four more dark mages led by Kherriun will attack if you interfere with the sacrifices. This is a difficult battle with enemies on two fronts.

    During the battle, Halatathlaer appears, forced to fight weakly. Ignore her until the mages are defeated. Focus on Kherriun (5,000xp, necklace [amulet of protection +1], robe [evil archmagi], ring [wizardry], potion [2 extra healing], spells [animate dead, chaos, greater malison], wand [fire, 5/5], staff mace +2, darts [40 asp's nest +1]), who holds the ghost jar controlling her.
