Beneath Alamut

Guide your way through the final moments of Assassin's Creed Mirage, from meeting Nehal to the climactic boss fight with Roshan beneath Alamut.

Alright, so you've made it to the very end of Assassin's Creed Mirage! This section, "Beneath Alamut," is where everything wraps up. We'll cover meeting up with Nehal, the desperate rush to the Hidden One camp, and finally, that showdown with Roshan.

The Last Journey - Meet Nehal at the Hideout in Anbar

After that whole ordeal with Roshan, Basim's first move is to find Nehal. You know she'll be at the hideout in Anbar, which is northwest of Baghdad. The quickest way to get there is definitely fast travel. Once you land in Anbar, just follow the quest marker straight to the hideout. Go inside, and a cutscene will kick off with Nehal.

In this scene, Basim explains why he absolutely *has* to go down into Alamut. Nehal, being the loyal friend she is, insists on joining him. It's a pretty short scene, but it leads into a longer one where they actually travel to Alamut. They arrive totally wiped out, only to be ambushed by guards! Luckily, your fellow Hidden One, Nur, swoops in to save the day, but sadly, he pays for it with his life.

In Pursuit of the Truth - Hurry Back to the Camp

After the somber scene with Nur in the cave, Basim needs to make a mad dash back to the Hidden One camp at Alamut. The goal is to help any survivors before they all get wiped out. You can hop on a nearby horse and ride through the valley, but eventually, you'll see the camp up ahead, engulfed in flames. It's a good idea to dismount your horse here and sneak towards the camp, keeping your eyes peeled for any guards you can take out quietly.

Trying to stay hidden in the camp is tough because there are just so many guards and hardly any good hiding spots. You'll likely find yourself in open combat pretty quickly. Make sure you're using your full toolkit to end fights fast – smoke bombs are your best friend here to disorient groups of enemies before you move in for the kill. Seriously, there are a lot of guards to get through, so you'll probably need to rely heavily on dodging and parrying if you don't want to burn through all your tools and ammo.

Once you've dealt with all the guards, you can free Rayhan. You'll find him tied up at the southern end of the camp. Freeing him triggers a long cutscene. During this scene, Basim manages to convince Rayhan that exploring what's hidden beneath Alamut is crucial, not just for the Hidden Ones but for Basim himself. Rayhan agrees and gives Basim the green light to head into the temple beneath Alamut.

Go to the Temple Beneath Alamut

As the leader of the Hidden Ones, Rayhan speaks for the entire brotherhood. The only exception is Roshan, who operates under her own creed, which is a bit different from the brotherhood's overall philosophy. When you enter the temple, you'll have to fight off a group of guards first. After that, interact with the symbol on the wall on the northern side of the temple. This kicks off a cutscene where Roshan appears, absolutely determined to stop Basim from going any further.

Boss Fight - Roshan

This fight against Roshan is pretty much the only true boss fight in the game, but it's quite different from the ones you might remember from games like AC Valhalla or Odyssey. Roshan doesn't have a ton of fancy moves; she mainly just dual-wields a sword and dagger. She's definitely faster than most enemies you've faced, but here's a key tip: if you hit her with just one throwing knife, it triggers a short scene, and when it's over, she'll be at half her total health! From that point on, you can mostly just dodge or parry her attacks, depending on her animations, and then retaliate with a few quick hits of your own.

Roshan's health bar will drop pretty fast with each successful hit, so it won't take too long before she's down for the count. Another cutscene will start, leading into the game's ending sequence. This involves a pretty extensive series of cutscenes that reveal a lot of untold story elements, which might leave you scratching your head and wondering what it all means.
