The Island

The original and most iconic ARK map. It features a wide range of biomes, from tropical beaches and dense jungles to snowy mountains and volcanic regions. Key features include:

• Biomes: Tropical, Snow, Swamp, Desert, Redwood, Volcano.
• Notable Locations: Green Obelisk, Lava Island, Ice Cave, various cave systems.
• Resource Distribution: Metal is more common in mountainous and volcanic areas, oil in swamps and underwater.

Scorched Earth

This desert-themed expansion map introduces extreme heat, sandstorms, and new, dangerous creatures adapted to arid environments. Survival here requires careful water management and heat-resistant gear.

• Biomes: Desert, Rocky Canyons, Oasis, Badlands.
• Notable Locations: The central oasis, various canyons, and challenging caves.
• Unique Elements: Extreme heat, sandstorms, electrical storms, new creatures like the Deathworm and Wyvern.

Aberration

A subterranean map with a unique ecosystem. Players start underground and must navigate bioluminescent caves, toxic zones, and areas with radiation. Gravity is also affected in certain regions.

• Biomes: Bioluminescent Zone, Mushroom Forest, Fertile Zone, Radiation Zone, Rockwell's Garden.
• Notable Locations: The Obelisk cave, various underground rivers and chasms.
• Unique Elements: Lack of sunlight, radiation, hazardous atmosphere, unique creatures like the Rock Drake and Reaper.

Extinction

This post-apocalyptic map features a desolate wasteland, corrupted zones, and remnants of civilization. Players must contend with environmental hazards and powerful corrupted creatures.

• Biomes: Wasteland, Corrupted Zones, Snow Dome, Desert Dome, Forest Dome.
• Notable Locations: The City, Titan spawn points, various corrupted caves.
• Unique Elements: Corrupted creatures, meteors, extreme weather events, Orbital Supply Drops.

Other Maps
