Manticore (Scorched Earth)

Defeat the Manticore boss on Ark: Survival Evolved's Scorched Earth map. Use Rexes or Wyverns and ranged weapons against its flying attacks and summoned threats.

• Beta: 2x Artifact of the Gatekeeper, 2x Artifact of the Crag, 2x Artifact of the Destroyer, 20x Deathworm Horn, 20x Basilisk Scale, 20x Wyvern Claw, 1x Alpha Deathworm Horn, 1x Alpha Basilisk Scale, 1x Alpha Wyvern Claw

Recommended Tames:

• 18-19x High-level, imprinted Rexes (with good saddles) OR 10-12x Rexes + 6-8x High-level Wyverns (Fire/Lightning)
• 1x High-level, imprinted Yutyrannus

Strategy:

The Manticore is a flying boss that attacks with lightning and fire, and summons Rock Elementals and Deathworms. If using Rexes, group them tightly and have your Yutyrannus buff them. The Manticore spends a lot of time flying, so you'll need to use ranged weapons (shotguns, assault rifles) to damage it when it's in the air. When it lands, your Rexes can attack. If using Wyverns, they can engage the Manticore in the air, but be careful of its lightning attacks. The Rock Elementals are slow but hit hard; focus them down quickly. The arena is a large, open desert. Bring plenty of Medical Brews and ammo.
