Collecting an Explorer Note grants the player 100 XP and a 10-minute buff that doubles XP collection rate. This buff stacks if multiple notes are found in quick succession. If collected while riding a tamed creature, the creature also receives the XP and buff, effectively doubling the reward. Finding all Explorer Notes unlocks an additional 10 character levels.
