Hey there, Raider! Let's talk about some of the more advanced stuff you'll be dealing with in ARC Raiders, specifically the Advanced Mechanical Components. These aren't your everyday nuts and bolts; they're crucial for getting your hands on some seriously powerful gear. ### What are Advanced Mechanical Components? Think of these as the high-end crafting material. They're rare, and they're what you'll need to build some of the best weapons in the game, and even to repair them. They're also worth a decent chunk of change, coming in at $1750 each, and weighing 1.0 KG. ### Where to Find Them Your best bet for finding these is in Mechanical Areas. Keep an eye out for abandoned transport containers, especially in places like the Scrap Yard on Dam Battlegrounds. They're not exactly lying around everywhere, so you'll need to do some dedicated scavenging. ### Crafting Them If you're not finding enough out in the wild, you can craft them yourself! You'll need to have your Refiner Level II up and running in your Workshop. The recipe is: * 2x Steel Spring * 2x Mechanical Components Make sure you've got a steady supply of those base materials before you start crafting. ### What Can You Craft With Them? This is where things get exciting. Advanced Mechanical Components are the key to unlocking some awesome gear, including: * Weapons: Bettina, Osprey, Renegade, Torrente, Venator, and the Magnetic Accelerator. * Repairs: As mentioned, they're also used for repairing advanced weapons. ### Recycling and Salvaging Don't toss them if you don't need them right away! You can break them down: * Recycling in Raider Den: Gives you 1x Mechanical Components and 1x Steel Spring. * Salvaging Topside: Gives you 1x Mechanical Components. ### What Recycles INTO Them? It's also good to know what drops these valuable components. You'll get 2x Advanced Mechanical Components from recycling: * Leaper Pulse Unit * Bastion Cell * Bombardier Cell * Magnetic Accelerator And a bunch of weapon upgrades, too! For example, the higher tiers of Bettina, Bobcat, Osprey, Renegade, Torrente, Venator, Tempest, and Vulcano all require Advanced Mechanical Components for their upgrades. Just be aware that some of the higher-tier upgrades can take quite a few, like the Bobcat IV needing 5x of them! Keep an eye on your inventory and plan your scavenging runs accordingly.
