    Cauldron Lake - Trap Scratch Inside the Cell: You'll start as Saga. Your health will be the same as at the end of the shore defense, so heal if necessary. The objective is to stun Scratch with weapon damage, then turn cranks to power two lights aimed at the containment cell by the lakeshore. You'll need to stun him several times for each light. Once a light is powered, enter the cell to lure Scratch into it. Agent Estevez will boost the lights, temporarily trapping Scratch. The cell explodes, Scratch possesses Alex, takes the Clicker, throws Saga into the lake, and disappears.

    Bright Falls - The Dark Place Arrives: Scratch uses the Clicker to bring the Dark Place to Bright Falls. You'll unlock the Filled With Rage trophy for (not quite) defeating Scratch. After the end of chapter screen, you'll unlock the Rock 'n' Roll, Baby trophy and the Old Gods of Asgard - _Dark Ocean Summoning_ Song (6/6).

    Talk to Agent Estevez: You regain control as Alan. Tor and Odin enter the lake to find Saga. Go to the southern end of the beach and speak with Estevez. Exhaust her dialogue options to understand the situation and your next steps. Alan realizes Scratch is heading to Bright Falls to use the Clicker to enact his written ending. If Alan can get the manuscript, he can rewrite it. Pick up weapons, ammo, and batteries from a flight case.

    Go to the Parking Lot: Since Saga had the map, you'll need to navigate by memory. Go under the branch near Estevez and follow the path. After going under a fallen tree, you'll be attacked by a Taken. Continue through the hollow tree (past the Witch's Ladle sign) and head left towards a distant light.

    At the light, four Taken will attack. After defeating them, turn right (relative to your approach). You'll pass the ledge used to reach the Witch's Hut on your left.

    Continue to the next light, where you'll find an emergency cabinet. Grab supplies, equip your flare gun, and head left from the light towards the Murder Site.

    Your path will be blocked by darkness and six Taken. Retreat towards the Safe Haven to avoid being surrounded and eliminate them. Use your torch to destroy the darkness barrier.

    The gate to the shortcut is nearby. Head up the path past the FBC station and climb the steps. Climb a ledge at the top and continue up more steps to reach the gate to the car park.

    Go up the slope in front of you and drop down a ledge to reach the car park and Saga's car. Get in and drive to Bright Falls. Upon arrival, Alan will muster his courage and step back into the Dark Place.
