This set is made up of three pieces: * Makeshift Goggles * Researcher's Coat * Researcher's Pants When you wear the full set, you'll get some nice bonuses: * +61–175 max health * +4–8 green glow (helpful for seeing in dark areas!) * +7–21% chance to not lose durability on equipment when taking damage * +7.5–14% movement speed ### Getting the Gear Here's how you can find each piece: #### Makeshift Goggles These can drop from a few sources: * Electro-Pest: There's a 2.3% chance for one to drop. * Large Office Crate: You have a 10.25% chance for one to drop. * Office Crate: A 8.22% chance here. But the guaranteed way to get them is from a Mannequin inside an Abiotic Factor Facility. You'll find it there 100% of the time! #### Researcher's Coat Similar to the goggles, you can find the coat from: * Large Office Crate: A 10.25% chance. * Office Crate: An 8.22% chance. Again, the sure bet is a Mannequin in the Abiotic Factor Facility, which has a 100% drop rate. #### Researcher's Pants And for the pants, it's the same story: * Large Office Crate: 10.25% chance. * Office Crate: 8.22% chance. And you guessed it, a Mannequin in the Abiotic Factor Facility will always give you a pair (100% chance). Pro Tip: While crates can drop these items, heading straight to the Abiotic Factor Facility and checking the mannequins is the most reliable way to complete the set. Just be ready for whatever else might be lurking in there! ### A Little History Just so you know, this armor set used to have different names. In update 1.1.1.1, the "Makeshift NVGs" became "Makeshift Goggles," and the "Researcher Coat" and "Researcher Pants" got their possessive apostrophes. The tooltip for the coat also got a slight tweak to sound a bit more… scientific! This armor set is pretty neat because it's one of the few that doesn't have a special set bonus, but the individual stats are still really useful for early to mid-game exploration and combat.
