Upon starting a new game, you'll awaken in a designated tutorial area within the GATE facility. This initial zone is designed to gently introduce you to core mechanics without overwhelming you with immediate threats. Your primary objective here is to gather basic resources, craft your first rudimentary tools, and understand the interaction system. Look for scattered debris, broken equipment, and discarded supplies. The game will prompt you to pick up items like 'Scrap Metal' and 'Plastic Shards'. Follow the on-screen instructions to craft a 'Makeshift Shiv' or a 'Crude Hammer' at a nearby workbench. These early tools are essential for defense and further resource gathering. Don't rush; take your time to familiarize yourself with the crafting interface and inventory management. This area also often contains your first 'Data Pad' which initiates the main storyline.
