Kiryu has three innate techniques not listed in the ability tables:
- Down Grab: Press Circle near a fallen enemy's head to pull them standing, or near their feet to drag them.
- Charge Kick: Hold down Triangle and release to launch a powerful kick.
- Smoke Break: Press Down on the D-Pad to light up a cigarette.

- Enhanced Throw Impact: After throwing an enemy, they will stay down for longer.
- Quick Stand: After being knocked down, mashing X will get you to your feet faster.
- Re-Guard: Press L1 after your guard is broken to swiftly re-guard.
- Enhanced Escapes: Mash X while being grabbed to escape faster.
- Enhanced Throw: Reduces the number of times to mash Circle to throw an enemy.
- Quickstep Cancel: Press X during a Rush Combo to cancel out of it. Must not be in Heat Mode.
