Walkthrough for Chapter 5: Masters and Slaves in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, covering Leftheria, Indol, and Temperantia.
Speak with Fan la Norne to begin your journey to Leftheria, a region composed of smaller Titans connected by bridges.
Walkthrough
- 1Head forward across the first bridge to Baldatos Isle.
- 2From Baldatos Isle, choose either the easier path straight ahead or the more dangerous path to the right.
- 3Easier Path: Cross the bridge to Daram Isle, go right around the walls, and find a bridge leading into a cloud mountain. Follow the path under the cloud sea to a large door. Find an opening on the right side, leading to a tentacle. Examine the Titan's reflex center to open the path. Continue down the path back outside, cross the bridge to Ansel Hatchery, and then cross to Fonsett, Rex's hometown.
- 4Dangerous Path: Head right across the bridge to Daridan's Stack, then across the next bridge to the Isle of Sleeping Remains. Take the bridge to the left, which leads into a Titan and a path through the cloud mountain. Head through the dangerous interior until you reach a large cavern that forks. Take the right-hand path to the other side of the cloud mountains. Slide down the sand slide to Godsford Isle. Ignore the right path to Island Base Lindwurm and take the left bridge to the Isle of Urchon. From there, take the sand slide to Ysheva Harbor, then take the other path down to Fonsett.
- 5Explore Fonsett and speak with your party members if you wish.
- 6Head to the cemetery at the high point of Fonsett.
- 7Return to where you first arrived in Fonsett and enter Corinne's house to speak with her.
- 8Leave Leftheria and head to the harbor. Exit Fonsett through the front gate and head straight ahead to a bridge leading up to another Titan, Ysheva Harbor.
- 9On the way up, be aware of a level 39 driver unique enemy who will attack if approached.
- 10At the top of Ysheva Harbor, approach the harbor to encounter Zeke. Defeat him.
- 11After defeating Zeke, you will arrive at Indol.
- 12Head up the stairs to Poldis Circle, then higher into Seoris Plaza.
- 13Your destination in Indol is the Sanctum. Enter the Sanctum and turn left to the guest quarters.
- 14Talk to Armalia to rest.
- 15Head to the far side of the Sanctum and climb the stairs to the Audience Chamber.
- 16Return to Armalia to rest again.
- 17Go back to the Audience Chamber.
- 18Head down the stairs, take an immediate right, and find Mòrag.
- 19Leave Indol by heading down to the port, to the end of the first pier, and depart for Temperantia with an additional party member.
- 20Speak with Timur to leave.
- 21In Temperantia, climb to the top of the cliff and head right onto an outcropping of rock.
- 22You will enter a battle. If you lose, you will reappear on the outcropping and need to use the airflow at the tip to get back onto the Titan.
- 23Warning: Be careful not to fall off the edge, as a character might respawn (reappear after being defeated) with only one health point, making the battle much harder. Wait for their health to regenerate before continuing.
- 24Target Aeshma's Core, but note that it heals a large amount of health.
- 25Target the Power Lines behind the core.
- 26When the Power Lines are at half health, you will take spike damage (damage that reflects back at you when you attack) every time you attack.
- 27The easiest way to deal with spike damage is to attack and complete a Blade Combo, then switch back to targeting the Core.
- 28Build up a Chain Attack, then switch back to the Power Lines and unleash the Chain Attack.
- 29If Aeshma's Core is not defeated after the first Chain Attack, repeat the process.
- 30Once the Power Lines are cut, you will finish the fight against Aeshma's Core.
- 31Take out Jin.
- 32After Jin is defeated, take out Aeshma's Core itself, which is now easier without the Power Lines healing it.
Tips
- Explore Fonsett to find your party members and learn about Rex's origins.
- Remember Ysheva Harbor for later use.
- If you fall off the cliff in Temperantia, use the airflow to return to the Titan.
- When dealing with spike damage in Temperantia, focus on completing Blade Combos before switching targets.
