Akira

Akira is a challenging character to master, especially for new players. The Dojo is recommended for learning his commands and moves. His jumping double kick can be an effective opener but should not be overused to avoid predictability. Focus on his lunging punches and shoulder blows, particularly P+K combos, which can be chained for significant damage. A useful combo is =>P+K | PP, which allows for a side-step if the initial hit misses. Another powerful combo is <= P | PP. Utilize auto-side steps to create your own combos, replacing the final 'PP' with a throw for added effect. While Akira's throws are generally best used on stunned opponents, some are effective for ring outs or high damage in confined spaces. The | | P+K move results in a knockdown, providing an opportunity to recover. Consistent practice of counters is essential.

Online play with Akira can be frustrating due to the prevalence of easier-to-use characters like Jackie, Sarah, Pai, Lau, Lei Fei, Eileen, and Brad. However, persistence is key, and mastering Akira offers a unique and respected fighting style. Akira is noted as one of the least used characters online.

For Street Fighter fans, Akira can be customized to resemble Akuma, complete with red eyes.

El Blaze

El Blaze is an offensive character ideal for aggressive play. In Quest Mode, particularly against high-level opponents (high Dans and Ultimate Ranks), the combination of his Burnout Combo into Rocket Discharge into Deja Vu is highly effective. This tactic is designed to counter opponents who frequently block and counter-attack. The Burnout Combo hits quickly, forcing the opponent to either take the hits or block. The key is for them to block the kick at the end of the combo, which allows El Blaze to initiate his Rocket Discharge. At point-blank range, immediately follow up with a grab, as the opponent will likely still be blocking. Then, execute the Deja Vu, a powerful move that deals significant damage. Repeating this pressure-based strategy can lead to easy wins, especially against the computer. This combo set is also useful in Quick Draw Tournaments for quickly depleting an opponent's health and securing a victory.
