Summoning & Defeating Moder

Learn how to summon and defeat Moder, the fourth boss in Valheim. This guide covers Moder's weaknesses, attack patterns, and the best strategies for victory.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak to: Frost
• Resistant to: Bludgeoning, Pierce
• Immune to: Poison, Frost (as a boss)

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Ground Assault - Moder stays on the ground and uses melee attacks and ice breath.
2. Phase 2: Aerial Assault - Moder takes to the air and bombards the player with ice shards and a freezing aura.

Strategy:

• Preparation: Craft a good bow (e.g., Draugr Fang) and plenty of Fire arrows. Ensure you have Frost Resistance Mead.
• Combat: Stay mobile and use cover to avoid Moder's attacks. Focus on hitting her with Fire arrows while she is grounded or during her aerial dives. Use Frost Resistance Mead to mitigate damage from her ice attacks.
• Summoning: Find Moder's altar in the Mountains biome. You will need to offer Dragon Eggs to summon her.
