How to Beat Eikthyr, The Stag

Learn how to defeat Eikthyr, the first boss in Valheim. This guide covers Eikthyr's stats, weaknesses, and effective strategies for melee and ranged combat.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weaknesses: Piercing
• Resistances: Slashing, Blunt
• Immunities: None

Phases:

1. Eikthyr will charge at the player with his antlers. Dodge this attack and counter-attack.
2. Eikthyr will use a lightning strike attack. This can be dodged by moving away from the targeted area.
3. Eikthyr will occasionally stomp, creating a small shockwave. This can be avoided by jumping or moving out of range.

Strategy:

• Melee: Use a spear and a shield. Block his charges and attack when he is recovering.
• Ranged: Use a Crude Bow with Wood Arrows or Fire Arrows. Keep your distance and kite him, shooting whenever you have an opening.
• Preparation: Craft a Flint Spear or Crude Bow. Gather plenty of Wood Arrows if using a bow. Ensure you have decent food buffs for health and stamina.
• Summoning: Eikthyr is summoned by offering two Deer Trophies at the Sacrificial Stones.
