Follow Sam back to the front of the station. If you missed the WANTED POSTER CLUE earlier, Chris will examine it now.

Examine the locked door at the front of the station to have Chris unlock it.

While waiting for the cable car, explore the station. Walk left and up the steps into the back room.

Examine the poster on the wall to learn Blackwood Pines once housed a hotel and sanatorium.

Continue left and examine the security monitor. It initially shows a bathtub, then switches to the outside of the station. A person may briefly appear in the shadows before disappearing when Chris says "Huh?".

When the cable car arrives, follow Sam into it.

Now controlling Jessica at the Upper Cable Car Station (21:17), move her to the right side of the screen.

Sam and Chris will ask you to let them in. Press R2 to open the door.

Chris will take Jessica's phone. Your first Butterfly Effect update, "ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS", will occur based on Sam's earlier actions with Chris's phone.

You will make a conversation choice: tell Chris and Sam that Jess and Mike are in a relationship (INSIST) or not (EXPLAIN).

INSIST: Jessica does not tell them about Mike. Her FUNNY meter goes UP. Her relationship with CHRIS gets WORSE. Her relationship with SAM gets BETTER.

EXPLAIN: Jessica explains Mike and Emily split, and she is now with Mike. Her HONESTY meter goes UP. Her relationship with SAM gets WORSE. Her relationship with CHRIS gets BETTER.

Now controlling Matt at the Washington Lodge Grounds (21:24), follow the path and go through the wooden tunnel.

Emily and Mike argue. Matt can choose to intervene.

YOUR CHOICE: THREATEN (Matt tells Mike to behave. Matt's CHARITABLE metre goes DOWN. Matt's ROMANTIC metre goes UP. Matt's relationship with EMILY gets BETTER. Matt's relationship with MIKE gets WORSE.) or WELCOME (Matt acknowledges the awkwardness. Matt's CHARITABLE metre goes DOWN. Matt's relationship with EMILY gets WORSE. Matt's relationship with MIKE gets BETTER.).

After Mike leaves, Emily wants to go to the station to talk to Sam. Matt has another conversation option.

YOUR CHOICE: AGREE (Matt agrees to take the bags up to the house. Emily stays in a good mood. Matt's CHARITABLE metre goes UP. Matt's ROMANTIC metre goes UP. Matt's relationship with EMILY gets BETTER.) or PERSIST (Emily feels Matt is over-protective and gets pissy. Matt takes the bags anyway. Matt's ROMANCE metre goes DOWN. Matt's relationship with EMILY gets WORSE.).

Both options can potentially change how Emily reacts in Chapter 6. This choice only affects a line of dialogue.
