While Haroona is capable in direct combat, often the most effective approach to navigating the world of Unknown 9: Awakening is through stealth. Mastering the game's stealth mechanics will allow you to bypass difficult encounters, gather intelligence, and set up advantageous ambushes.

Awareness & Detection

Enemies have a visual and auditory cone of awareness. Staying outside of these cones is paramount. Observe enemy patrol routes and patterns carefully before making a move.

• Visual Cues: Enemies will have an exclamation mark or a question mark above their heads when they become suspicious. A full red indicator sifies they have detected you and will initiate combat.
• Sound: Loud actions, such as sprinting on certain surfaces, using loud Fold abilities, or engaging in combat, will attract attention. Moving slowly and deliberately, especially when near enemies, is key.
• Environmental Cover: Utilize shadows, tall grass, and physical objects to break line of sight. Crouching significantly reduces your visibility and noise output.

Distraction & Diversion

Haroona's Fold abilities can be used to create distractions and lure enemies away from their posts.

• Throwing Objects: Interact with small objects in the environment and throw them to create noise and draw enemy attention to a specific location.
• Fold Abilities for Diversion: A well-placed 'Push' on a distant object or a 'Shunt' on a non-critical environmental element can draw guards away from their patrol path, creating an opening for you to slip by.

Takedowns & Non-Lethal Options

When you get close enough to an unaware enemy, you can perform a stealth takedown. These are often silent and can neutralize threats without alerting others.

• Melee Takedowns: Approach an enemy from behind while in a crouched position to initiate a stealth takedown. The prompt will appear when you are in range.
• Fold-Assisted Takedowns: Consider using 'Pull' to briefly incapacitate an enemy before moving in for a takedown, or using 'Shunt' on a nearby object to distract them just before you strike.

Information Gathering

Stealth allows for reconnaissance. Before engaging or moving through an area, take the time to observe enemy positions, identify key objectives, and locate potential escape routes or hidden paths.

• Scouting: Use vantage points to survey the area. Identify guard patrols, security cameras, and any environmental hazards that could be used to your advantage.
