Eb possesses great magic skills and two unique, powerful schools of magic, with Tidecasting primarily consisting of talent tree abilities. She has the second-most spell slots of any character in Tyranny. Her abilities make her a superior caster and capable in offense, healing, debuffing, and buffing, and she grants access to Empowered Chaos Blast.

Notable Talents and Abilities:

• Loyalty Combo: This combo is nearly game-breaking. Eb suspends herself and all allies in the air, then repeatedly pulses waves of energy that heal allies and damage enemies. While it's best to avoid using this around numerous archers, skirmishers, or mages due to potential damage to your party, the constant healing can mitigate this. This combo can completely reverse a losing battle. The only drawback is that Eb lands alone at the combo's end, potentially becoming a sole target, but this is rarely an issue as she is likely at full health and allies might obstruct enemies.
• Mother's Embrace: This talent is effective for shutting down enemy spellcasters.
• Swift Current: This talent provides a bonus to movement speed, allowing fragile party members to stay out of engagement range and hardier members to intercept. It is a unique benefit that boosts everyone's movement speed, unlike other abilities that affect only the user or specific allies. This talent is located deep within the Tidal tree.
• Runic Barrier I/II/III: These talents grant up to 6 armor while wearing light armor (cloth or leather). Considering leather armor typically provides around 4 armor and heavy armor around 10, these talents allow you to achieve comparable defense:
  • Wearing cloth armor (which has fewer recovery penalties) provides better defense than leather.
  • Wearing leather armor (known for high deflection and precision) offers defense comparable to bronze or iron armor.
  These talents are a strong argument for investing in the Gravelight talent tree. They make Eb exceptionally hardy, especially with her mastery of health-draining magic, enabling her to perform as a brutal spellcaster or an interceptor to protect allies. The benefits of Runic Barrier are only active during combat and will not be visible in inventory screens or outside of combat.
