Walkthrough
  1. 1
Pick up the 2 sets of Magnum clips in the NE and SE corners of the starting room.
  2. 2
Proceed up the stairs and backhop while targeting the two Atlantean mutants that approach. Use Magnums to defeat them before they reach you.
  3. 3
At the top of the stairs, collect Magnum clips (3) in the NW corner.
  4. 4
Pull up three times to reach the back of a giant Sphinx.
  5. 5
Go right of the sloped block, slide north, and turn west.
  6. 6
A Mutant (3) will appear. Sidejump to dodge its fireballs and defeat it with Magnums.
  7. 7
After the Mutant explodes, collect Magnum clips (4) from the sand and run counterclockwise around the sphinx. Collect Magnum clips (5) between its paws.
  8. 8
Head to the pillars north of the Sphinx's right paw. Use Save Crystal (1).
  9. 9
Time a run past the shredder or make a running jump to the walkway beyond. Collect the small Medi Pack (6) near the shredder.
  10. 10
Cross the gap and approach the switch. Do not pull it yet. Throwing a switch typically releases a flying Mutant.
  11. 11
Pull the switch, press to see, jump back across the gap, and wait for the flying Mutant (4) on the raised path before the shredder.
  12. 12
Rotate left with the flying Mutant's flight path, shooting it with both Magnums. Backhop when it lands to avoid its explosion. Aim for zero damage.
  13. 13
Return to the switch, turn right, and standing jump to the large Medi Pack (7).
  14. 14
Safety drop off the south side.
Tips
  • Conserve health throughout the level, aiming for at least 75% before the final encounters.
  • Flying mutants are tough; they require many hits and often appear on narrow ledges.
  • Prioritize Uzi ammo if found, as shotgun shells and Magnum clips are more common but less useful against these enemies.
  • Consider skipping the trip to the invisible ledge where Uzis used to be, as the risk of falling outweighs the ammo gained.
  • When fighting the centaur protecting the second Ankh, use sidejumps to avoid damage.
  • For the final battle against Larson, attempt to jump past the trigger tile to avoid the fight. If unsuccessful, use the shotgun.
  • Ensure any deaths from flying mutants are from their attacks, not from falls or the shredder.
  • If a flying mutant doesn't appear, it may be stuck. Try jumping out in front of it to dislodge it. Save before engaging it to avoid fatal falls.
