Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Cargo Ship walkthrough: Recover the bill of lading, retrieve the transit ledger, and eliminate Hugo Lacerda.
Walkthrough
- 1In the Lower Decks, wait for two guards to discuss Lacerda. Interrogate one guard after he walks around your cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects), then hide his body.
- 2Locate the second guard, wait for him to enter a room, then grab him when he exits. Dispose of him and enter the room.
- 3Head down the corridor and quietly approach the man in the chair. Use a close attack (L1 or R1) to incapacitate him.
- 4Open the door and enter the cargo hold. You will receive a new objective to place tracking devices on illegal weapons crates.
- 5Navigate the cargo hold, placing a tracking device on the first crate (1) near your feet.
- 6Continue through the cargo hold until you reach a ladder. Climb up and use the med kit on the left if needed. Open the door on your right.
- 7Move past the door with water pouring out and slide open the next door. Incapacitate the man working with a saw.
- 8Optionally, turn off the lights by hitting the switch near the door for better stealth and body concealment.
- 9Enter the crawlspace in the corner of the room.
- 10Exit the crawlspace and wait for guards to finish talking. Hide against the wall opposite the crawlspace and grab the guard who approaches. Dispose of him.
- 11Jump over the catwalk railing to the ground floor. Sneak up on the guard fiddling with a pump and incapacitate him. Activate the pump.
- 12Enter the door on your right and proceed down the hallway. Open the first door on your right.
- 13Climb up to the top of the pile of crates to retrieve the bill of lading, completing a primary objective.
- 14Drop down and prepare for two guards outside the door. Stay in the room and to the right of the door.
- 15When the guards pass, go right down the hallway. Approach the lighted area and drop beneath the floor.
- 16Walk among the pipes under the guards and exit on the other side. Go right down the staircase.
- 17Enter the next room and heed Grim's warning: DO NOT FIRE ANYTHING IN THIS ROOM. Go around the cover on the left and wait for a guard to approach. Incapacitate him silently.
- 18Head to the far side of the room, hugging the wall with the light. Wait for the guard on the catwalks to move across before proceeding.
- 19Turn right and grab the guard near you. Interrogate him for intelligence, then dispose of him. Head towards the stairs.
- 20OCP (Officer Commanding the Power) the hanging light before going up the stairs. Wait by the top of the stairs for the guard to calm down if he sees the light go out, then sneak up and dispatch him.
- 21Cross the catwalks and go up the next set of stairs. Cross the room again and enter the hallway.
- 22Squeeze past crates and enter the Upper Decks.
- 23In the Upper Decks, move up the stairs on your left. Enter the door on your left, ignoring the one on your right.
- 24Use the computer if desired, then listen to the conversation in the next room. Climb into the crawlspace near the entrance.
- 25Exit the crawlspace and grab the man looking over maps. Interrogate and dispose of him, then do the same for the man at the computer.
- 26Use the computer to retrieve Lacerda's transit ledger, completing a primary objective.
- 27Go through the door and down the short hallway. The room on the left contains a non-essential computer and a med kit.
- 28Proceed to the door at the end of the hall. Enter the area and notice crate (2) under the stairs. Plant the tracking device.
- 29Head up the stairs. On the next floor, open the door and proceed down the hallway.
- 30At the end of the hallway, quietly open the door to avoid alarming the guard. Stay in the doorway to avoid detection by the patrolling guard.
- 31The guard in the corner is difficult to sneak around; use an airfoil to the head or a sticky shocker to incapacitate him.
- 32Head across the room to the right, staying out of the light due to the patrolling guard.
- 33In the kitchen area, sneak up behind the man by crate (3) and grab him. Move him to the dark corner by the kitchen's entrance next to a large pipe.
- 34Hide in this spot for the patrolling guard to enter the kitchen, where you can grab him. Hide the bodies and place the tracker on the crate.
Tips
- Turning off lights and electronics can provide better darkness for sneaking and hiding bodies.
- When dealing with the guard in the corner of the Upper Decks room, using an airfoil to the head or a sticky shocker is the most effective method.
- Always hide bodies to prevent guards from becoming suspicious.
