This guide covers various tutorial elements in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, including Tsubasa's glasses setting, special training, the ex story, and Idolasphere mechanics.

Tsubasa's Glasses: After selecting your difficulty, you can choose whether Tsubasa Oribe wears glasses in her casual outfits. This is purely cosmetic and can be changed anytime in the settings menu.

Special Training: Starting in Chapter 1, a special Idolasphere is available from the Bloom Palace for Itsuki and his party to train. This is useful for character growth, especially if you find enemies too difficult or lack training time. You cannot save during special training, and losing a battle results in a game over. Each training session can be repeated, but over-training might reduce enjoyment of the battle system.

Training Area: Within the training area, enemies drop tomes for experience. As you defeat enemies, others grow stronger, making retreat a viable option. Items are hidden in the four corners of the dungeon and vanish if not claimed quickly.

Ex Story: The ex story is divided into small chapters that run parallel to the main and side stories. They offer new scenes, skills, and costumes. To start the ex story, speak with Tiki at the Bloom Palace during the intermission of Chapter 2.

Area of Aspiration: During the intermission of Chapter 2, you can access the Area of Aspiration through a gate in the Bloom Palace. Progressing through this Idolasphere advances the ex story. Treasure boxes here can contain regular items, skills, and costumes.

Opening Protected Boxes: Some treasure boxes in the Area of Aspiration are protected and require specific experience to open. Progressing through the side stories of the associated cast member will unlock these boxes.

Jump-in Session Skills: These are special session skills for cast members who don't normally battle, allowing them to participate in sessions. The conditions for participation are standard, enhancing mid-battle performances.

Continuing the Ex Story: Each ex story chapter requires meeting specific conditions through main and/or side story progression. Check the laptop in the Fortuna Office to see the current requirements.
