Make your way to the Crossroads objective marker in Velen.

On the bank of the river opposite the quest marker, you'll find a man attacked by Drowners. Kill the Drowners and release the man for 25XP.

Enter the inn at the Crossroads.

Speak with the innkeeper. You will have to make a choice that impacts the next mission:
- "Back off or Die": Starts a fight. You'll need to kill the guards and find an alternate route into Crow's Perch in the next mission.

"I'm a Witcher": Guards will allow you into Crow's Perch for a fee in the next mission.

"Care for a Drink?": Guards will allow you into Crow's Perch free of charge in the next mission.

After your choice, the innkeeper will update your objectives. Exit the inn. If you attacked the guards inside, three more will be waiting outside.

Ride to the new objective marker at Heatherton.

Help the NPC by killing the three feral dogs attacking him.
