Guide to Ciri's Story: The King of Wolves in The Witcher 4. Learn Ciri's unique abilities and how to defeat the King of Wolves.
Walkthrough
- 1When you regain control, move up and kill the three Wolves ahead. Use this fight to familiarize yourself with Ciri's dodge and rolls, which have a little more reach than Geralt's. Killing them will initiate a cut-scene (a pre-rendered sequence).
- 2Follow the little girl. She will lead you through a linear stretch of swamp.
- 3Stop and fight off a group of six Wolves. Monitor the position of all of them and attempt hit-and-run tactics, being ready to roll pretty much constantly until you can focus on individuals.
- 4Shortly after the fight, Ciri will examine a body. Choose the ‘Summing up..' option to continue.
- 5Follow Gretka once more and keep an eye on your minimap (a small map usually in the corner of the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), showing your immediate surroundings). Loot all the herbs you come across.
- 6When you reach the next clearing, defend yourself against another five Wolves.
- 7Once the area is clear, look for a dead dog that Ciri can inspect on the far side of the clearing from where you entered. Loot the remaining herbs in the area. A scene will play.
- 8The child will now lead you to a cave in which you will need to fight the King of Wolves.
Tips
- Ciri controls differently to Geralt and has slightly different abilities. She is unable to access the inventory or use magical signs or Witcher Sense (a special vision mode).
- Ciri can automatically regenerate health.
- Ciri has the same standard quick and heavy attacks as Geralt, as well as dodge and roll moves.
- Later in the game, Ciri will develop other powers, but for now, you are limited to her standard melee abilities.
