Let's talk about taking down some of the game's more challenging characters, like Gerik Benoit, also known as Gery. He's a pretty significant antagonist in the 'Retribution' chapter and definitely someone you'll want to be prepared for. Gerik's backstory is tied to May and their daughter Ambre. He's driven by a desire for revenge, believing the Tourist was responsible for May's death. This fuels his actions throughout 'Retribution,' making him a formidable foe. When you finally face Gerik in the warehouse, he's not messing around. He'll be throwing explosives at you and coming at you with his axe. If you try using your grenade launcher on him, don't expect much – it'll barely stun him, and he'll just laugh it off. Here's the key: you'll need to craft and use 'Mega Bombs.' These are the same kind of bombs he used to kill Maxwell. Set them up and detonate them when Gerik gets close. After about three of these, he'll be on his knees, his armor damaged. Even when he's down, he's still got a lot to say. He'll apologize to his wife and daughter, and even if you try to tell him you didn't kill May, he'll dismiss it, saying he was beaten by a 'gutless Tower lackey.' At this point, he'll ask you to finish him off for peace. You'll then have the choice to kill Gerik or leave him be. Remember, preparation is everything in this game.
