Learn how to obtain Water Bombs, upgrade your Bomb Bag, and use this explosive item to access new areas and solve puzzles in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Obtain Water Bombs: Travel to Kakariko Village and visit Barnes' Bomb Shop. Speak to Barnes at the counter and sell him the contents of one of your Bomb Bags to free it up. You can then purchase Water Bombs to fill this bag.
  2. 2
Obtain Third Bomb Bag: Return to Zora's Domain and enter the Waterfall Cavern. Equip the Zora Armor and Iron Boots to sink to the bottom. Use a Water Bomb to destroy the remnants of the Molten Rock, freeing a Goron. Speak to the Goron, and he will reward you with the Third Bomb Bag.
  3. 3
Access Lakebed Temple: Go to Lake Hylia and make your way to the purple dot on the map. Equip the Iron Boots to sink to the lake's bottom. Find the pillar of bubbles rising into the air on the north edge. Drop a Water Bomb onto the bubble pillar to create a geyser below. Drop another Water Bomb onto the geyser, which will rise and destroy a boulder, opening the entrance to the Lakebed Temple.
  4. 4
Lakebed Temple Entrance Hall: Swim down the tunnel to the north end, avoiding Biri enemies. Once you reach the end, climb out into a large cavern. Kill the Red Chus and collect their slime in an Empty Bottle for Heart recovery. Open the chest on the south end for ten Water Bombs and the chest on the west end for twenty Arrows. Head north, kill the Purple Chu, and climb the staircase. Look south for a handle on the ceiling, grab it, and Link's weight will unlock the gate. Proceed through the door.
  5. 5
Lakebed Temple - Upper Stalactite Cavern: Upon entering, a stalactite will fall, creating a ledge. Knock down the remaining four stalactites by hitting their bulbous protrusions with Bomb Arrows. Run north down the ramp.
Tips
  • The Third Bomb Bag can later be used to carry Bomblings.
  • Red Chu slime collected in a bottle can restore eight Hearts.
  • You can use your Sword underwater in the Lakebed Temple entrance tunnel by equipping the Iron Boots and landing on the ground.
  • Water Bombs (Item)
  • Third Bomb Bag (Equipment Upgrade)
  • Access to Lakebed Temple (Dungeon III)

Continue your adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess! This guide covers Ordon Village, the North Road, and the Hyrule Castle Prison Block as Link.

Alright, let's pick up where we left off in Ordon Village. As soon as you enter the ranch, a cutscene kicks off with Link, Mayor Bo, and his daughter Ilia. Mayor Bo wants you to deliver a village present to Hyrule Castle ASAP, but Ilia, who's way more worried about Epona than you, decides to take the horse to the spring herself. Don't sweat it, just head straight for the North Road from Link's House.

Ordon Village: Outside Link's House

Back in Ordon Village, you'll run into the kids again. Colin, Rusl's son, wants you to take him to see Ilia, but Talo and Malo are blocking the path because Talo wants his Wooden Sword back. Hand over the sword to Talo, and then head northeast out of the area.

North Road

Now, make your way back to the Spring where you first met Ilia and got Epona. She'll be there with the horse. Since Ilia's closed the main gates, you'll need to use the tunnel near the entrance from Link's House. It's on the east side of the small clearing on the south side of the zone. After a pretty long cutscene with Ilia and Colin, you'll be moved to the next area of the game.

Hyrule Castle - Prison Block

You'll wake up in a prison cell, transformed into a wolf! After struggling with your restraints for a bit, another cutscene will play. Once you regain control, run to the corner of your cell where there's a pile of wreckage. Attack it to break it apart, revealing a narrow opening in the bars. Stand near it and use the Dig action to escape. Your mysterious companion will then give you a taste of what's to come in another cutscene.

Follow the hall and enter the second cell on the left. Push the door open all the way. Inside, you'll see a grating and a lever on the ceiling. When you get close to the lever, a giant hand will appear from your companion, and her portrait will flash on the action menu. Target the lever with Z and press the Bite button to open the grating. Head through and follow the tunnel south.

Hyrule Castle - Sewers

When you reach the end of the tunnel, jump out into a wider one. Your companion will point out some glowing wisps. Use your Sense action to reveal a ghost. Talk to him to learn about his demise, then turn off your Senses—it really limits your vision and is best used only when needed. Head north up the tunnel, then go east at the crossroads. Fight the Shadows in the water (wolf combat is just like Hylian combat!), then climb onto the ledge. There's another lever on the ceiling; activate it to open the grating below. Go through and down the tunnel. Smash the box at the end for some items, and then it's time to head back to the main area.

  2. 2

At the top, defeat a Dark Nut and proceed through the Boss Door.
  4. 4
In Hyrule Castle - Ganon's Tower, climb to the top of the stairs and enter the chapel for a series of boss fights.

Boss: Ganon's Puppet ZELDA

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Weak point: Golden ball of light reflected by Sword.

Phases:

  1. Puppet Zelda hovers and uses three attacks: a sword dive-bomb (blockable with shield), summoning a giant golden triangle on the ground, and flinging a ball of gold light.
  2. To damage Puppet Zelda, strike the ball of gold light she flings with your Sword to reflect it back. She will reflect it back at you. Hit it again to send it back to her. Repeat until one of you misses.
  3. Strike Puppet Zelda with the golden ball three times to defeat her.

Strategy:

  • The sword dive-bomb can be blocked with your shield, but it will cause you to lose Z-Target.
  • The golden triangle attack damages you if you stand within its area of effect.
  • Reflecting the ball of light is the primary way to damage Puppet Zelda. The closer you are when you reflect it, the faster it travels, allowing for quicker defeats but requiring more precision.

Boss: Dark Beast GANON

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Weak spot: Giant silver scar on his belly.

Phases:

  1. Ganon runs around the room, smashing pillars, and disappears through a portal. Position yourself with your back to the nearest wall. Use the Hero's Bow to aim for portals that appear close together (indicated by a pulsing noise). Ganon will emerge from the portal that flashes blue. Nail him on the forehead with an arrow to stun him, then attack the scar on his belly.
  2. Ganon appears from a portal in the sky and attempts to land on you. Roll or Dash to avoid his shadow. Wait for him to rampage around the room again, then hit his forehead with another arrow.
  3. When Ganon starts disappearing through portals to attack, switch to Wolf Link. Position yourself at a distance from the portals. When Ganon emerges, Z-Target him and press the action button just before he hits you. Midna will grab him; toss him to the side and Jump Attack his scar.
  4. When Ganon is near death, he will appear from a portal and charge without warning. Quickly use the same method as in phase 3 to attack his scar.

Strategy:

  • In phase 1, aim for his forehead with arrows to stun him before attacking his belly scar.
  • In phase 2, watch for his shadow and dodge his aerial attack.
  • In phase 3 and 4, use Midna's grab ability to toss Ganon and then attack his scar. Be quick when he charges without warning.

Boss: Dark Lord GANONDORF, Part I

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The battle moves to Hyrule Field on horseback. Zelda will assist you.
  2. 2
