Begin by visiting various shops and locations in Basel to acquire items and complete requests. At the Epstein Workshop, purchase Soul Chef: Medicinal Herbs for 470 mira and Gingerbread House. The Weapon Shop offers new weapons for the Picnic Club.

In New Town, go to your room at the Ingress Hotel (the blue marker indicates this). Check the bulletin board. At Cerise Drug, buy the Caramel Cereal Bar. At Verne Store, purchase the Ideal Watch S for 500 mira (for Towa). Verne Arms has new weapons, gear, and the Shield Belt (an accessory exchange for Tyrant Belt). At Echelon Cinema, watch two movies you haven't seen yet for 1000 mira each, and buy the brochure for 100 mira each; each viewing grants +25 CP to each character. Interact with the red marker event involving Esmeray, Mint, and Lila. At the Basel Mobile Pavilion, a red marker event with Leon and Celis will occur. Talk to Director Gotti to receive Maximum Energy x5.

Accept the 'Test Bike Trouble' request from Manager Taoming outside the Mobile Pavilion. During the dialogue choice, select "Maintain the Same Speed as Her" for SP +2. For the alignment choices, you can select "Have Hongli Turn Himself In" (Law++, Chaos+) or "Pretend It Was a Trial Run" (Law+, Chaos++).

In the Artisanal District, check the bulletin board. At The Quarry Tavern & Inn, purchase Soul Chef: Cookies for 500 mira and White Fromage. A red marker event with Emilia and her father will occur here. Giscard Workshop offers accessory upgrades, but you may not have the required accessories yet.

Accept the 'Oh, No, CEO' request from Secretary Kohen on the west end beyond the Bracer Guild. Talk to Burnaby near the Institute entrance, the Verne HQ - Receptionist in New Town, and Pia near the bulletin board in New Town. Head to the Basel Institute and find Tausend in the Cafeteria. When given the dialogue choice, select Option 2: Kohen for SP +2. For alignment choices, you can select "Take the Secretary and Ex-CEO to Court" (Law++, Gray+, Chaos+), "Corner the Ex-CEO at a Board Meeting" (Gray++, Chaos++), or "Blackmail the Secretary and Ex-CEO" (Gray+, Chaos++).

At the Basel Institute of Science, use the Air Tram Vending Machine for Banana Au Lait. Check the bulletin board. At Willy's Roaming Café, purchase Soul Chef: Smoothies for 500 mira, Hazel Macchiato, Willy's Smoothie, and the Stainless Steel Tumbler for 500 mira (for Rean). A red marker event with Cronkite & Kincaid will occur. The Grim Portal is east of them. At the School Cafeteria, purchase Soul Chef: Burgers for 500 mira, Honey-Lemon Jelly, and College Burger. A red marker event with Sherid, Giscard, and Tausend will occur. On the second floor, an optional event allows you to play a mini-game using Shard Search to collect golden shards within a time frame. Successfully clearing the game without touching blue shards grants SP +3; otherwise, you get SP +2.

Access the Rare Metal Mine north of Giscard's Workshop in the Artisanal District by checking the door across from the Grim Portal. In the north fork, find Mute II. In the south fork, the right path yields U-Material x4, and the left path yields Red Medal. At the midpoint, an Orbal Locked Chest contains the Thor Smasher (SP +1); on NG+, this chest contains All Sepith x300. The west fork contains Dawnstar Verse. The north then east fork yields All Sepith x150.

Complete the 'Rare Metal Mine Bounty' request from the Basel Institute of Science. The target is Germ Kaizam (LVL 31). Defeat the boss to receive 7000 Mira and LG+ alignment. You will also obtain the accessory Indominitability.

Finish all remaining side activities, including the two movies and any missed Connection Events. Choose two out of the three available characters (Altina & Fie, Crow, or Towa) for a connection.

When ready to advance the main story, head to the Observatory from the Basel Institute of Science (take the 2F exit east).

Once in control, go to the Chapel in the Artisanal District. Add your chosen companions to the party and return to the Observatory via fast travel.

Use Shard Search on the wall in the Observatory and interact with the panel. Then, check the panel closer to Mint. Press the middle panel to open a door.

Follow the path until you reach a Charging Station. Prepare and save your game, as a battle awaits.

Fight eight Demi-Grendel Weiss monsters (weak to earth 150, wind 110, time 160). Be aware of their Fatal Bite attack.

Enter the Astrological Workshop Ruins dungeon, which contains 9 entries: 5 field monsters and 4 bosses. In the first fork, find a chest with Celestial Balm. In the second fork, use Quick Arts on the switch to open all paths. The west door leads to Defense 3, and the east door leads to a room that will lock with monsters.
