Types of Anomalies:

• Event Anomaly (eye): Triggers events, potentially related to Mysteries.
• Research Anomaly (flask): Instantly generates Research Points.
• Breakthrough Anomaly (magnifying glass): Reveals a tech on the Breakthrough tree.
• Tech Anomaly (key): Enables specific techs for research, regardless of their position on the tech tree.

Analyzing anomalies is a key way to gain research points and unlock new technologies, including powerful Breakthroughs and unique Wonders found at the end of the Research Tree.
