Alright, so you've gotten pretty far and now you're looking at the 'Pripyat 1' mission. This one's a bit of a trek, taking you through an underpass to the big city itself. Nitro's got the intel on it, mentioning a sealed section in the Jupiter plant's transportation area. He's going to try and get the generator running and that lock open, but he's warning you – don't even think about going down there without backup and some serious protection. ### Part 1: Assemble a squad to go to Pripyat Nitro's going to need you to gather a crew. He'll suggest you chat up Zulu, who's chilling in a tower near Yanov Station. Be warned, Zulu's a bit of a talker, especially after a few drinks, but he'll eventually agree to join. He's got a decent setup with a PSZ-9Md Universal Protection suit and his custom Zulu's RP-74 machine gun, but honestly, he's not the toughest, so keep an eye on him. Besides Zulu, you'll need at least one more person. Here are your options: * Vano: You'll find him in Yanov Station. You can only recruit him if you've finished the 'Debts' mission. Plus, you'll need to shell out 5000 RU to get his outfit back from Hawaiian's store so he can wear his SEVA suit and use a Chaser 13. He's good against mutants but less so at range. * Lieutenant Sokolov: He's hanging out in the Ecologists' bunker. To get him, you'll need to finish the 'Anomalous Plant' mission for Ozersky. He'll be rocking an SSP-99M Suit and an AKM-74/2U. His suit offers good protection, but he's not the best shot, and his weapon is a bit weak. * Strider: After you wrap up the 'Monolith survivors' mission, you can find him at Yanov Station. He'll join up right away. He's got a Scientific Monolith suit and a SVUmk-2. His suit is tough, but his weapon is better for long-range fights against stalkers. Just so you know, recruiting all four potential members (Zulu, Vano, Sokolov, and Strider) gets you the 'Leader' achievement, making your squad tougher. You can also give your squadmates better weapons; they tend to prefer automatic ones. Just remember, you only need Zulu plus one other person to proceed. ### Part 2: Find a suit with a closed-cycle respiratory module This is crucial. You absolutely need a suit with a closed-cycle respiratory module, like a SEVA suit, to survive the toxic gas in the underpass. You can buy one from Nimble for a steep 30000 RU, and it'll take a full 24 in-game hours to arrive. Alternatively, Owl and Hawaiian will stock them once the mission starts, usually for around 25000 RU, maybe less if they like you. It doesn't matter if you wear it the whole time, but you *must* have one in your inventory to continue the mission. ### Part 3: Get to Pripyat Once you've got your squad sorted and your SEVA suit ready, just chat with Zulu. A cutscene will play, showing your team gearing up for the journey through the underpass.
