Learn about clothing buffs in Sleeping Dogs, including Triad XP, Cop XP, melee damage, discounts, and Face XP bonuses. Find vendor locations and item details.

Part 36 of the Sleeping Dogs guide covers clothing items, accessories, and the buffs they provide. You can acquire clothing from lockboxes, as mission rewards, or by purchasing them from vendors. Some outfits can be mixed and matched, while others require wearing three matching items from specific sets to activate buffs.

Trophy Information:

  • Buying all clothing items earns you the Fashion Victim trophy.
  • Changing all your clothing once earns you the Fashion Statement trophy.

You can change your clothes at safehouse wardrobes or swap items when purchasing from a vendor. Certain items provide buffs when three matching pieces are equipped simultaneously:

  • Triad XP Buffs: Blue Lantern Triad (+10% Triad XP), Red Pole Bonus (+10% Triad XP), Mountain Master Triad (+15% Triad XP)
  • Cop XP Buffs: Police Constable Bonus (+5% Cop XP), Police Sergeant Bonus (+10% Cop XP), Police Inspector Bonus (+15% Cop XP)
  • Melee Damage Buffs: Minor Thug Bonus (+5% melee damage), Thug Bonus (+10% melee damage)
  • Vehicle Discount Buffs: Bargain Hunter (5% discount), All Business (10% discount), Master Negotiator (15% discount)
  • Dialogue Buffs: Lady Killer (extra dialogue during dates)

Accessories can provide Face XP buffs, which stack if multiple are worn. These can be combined with clothing set buffs.

  • Face XP Buffs: Respectable Face (+5% Face XP), Honored Face (+10% Face XP), Venerable Face (+15% Face XP)

It is recommended to prioritize Triad and Cop sets for faster leveling and unlocking upgrades. Clothing can also be chosen to suit specific activities like fight clubs, missions, or dates.

Section 09a: Store Inventories

This section lists vendors selling clothing and accessories. Prices are in Hong Kong dollars and do not include discounts. The 'Face' column indicates the minimum Face Level required to purchase or wear the item. All shops are accessible after the Night Market Chase mission, but item availability may be restricted by Face Level.
