Part 34

Continue your Sleeping Dogs journey with Part 34 of the walkthrough. Wei Shen meets Winston Chu at the Golden Koi and begins his first extortion mission.

Part 34: The Golden Koi

Alright, so after that whole ordeal, Wei's back in the slammer and reconnects with an old friend, Jackie Ma. Turns out Jackie's been getting pretty deep into the Triad scene, and he's willing to introduce Wei to Winston Chu, a lieutenant in the Water Street Gang. Before that, though, you'll have to get through a couple of quick combat tutorials. Just follow the prompts on screen to learn the ropes of fighting, grappling, and reversing enemy attacks. It's pretty straightforward, just beat up the thugs they throw at you.

Once you've mastered the basics, Wei and Jackie head over to the Golden Koi restaurant, which is run by Winston's mom, Mrs. Chu. Winston's a bit wary at first, but Jackie vouches for Wei, reminding him they grew up together. Impressed by Wei's fighting skills, Winston decides to give him a shot and sends him out to extort some money from local market stands. This is your first real taste of the criminal life, so pay attention!

As you leave the restaurant with Conroy Wu, Winston's crew starts a bit of hazing on Wei. Just survive it, and you'll be good to go. This is basically a final combat test before you head out on your first real mission for Winston.
