Alright, let's get you moving towards the Riverside Motel. First things first, we need to head to the Public Records Office. It's just a little ways up the street on the south side. Go ahead and head inside.

Once you're in the Public Records Office, you'll see a book on the counter, but don't worry about that one. The main goal here is to grab some useful items. Make sure you thoroughly check the area. Specifically, look for a [CLOSED CASE] file and some Rifle Ammo on the right counter, behind the main one. Then, on the left side of the building, inside an office, you'll find an [ALTERED POLICE REPORT] along with some Service Pistol Ammo. Once you've snagged everything, head back outside.

Now, we're back on the streets of Silent Hill. Keep an eye out for the usual Straight-jacket and Carrion creatures. You'll also notice a new, larger Carrion enemy. These guys are slow but hit hard, so try to keep your distance. They have a good amount of health, so running from them might be your best bet for now.

Our next major stop is Andy's Books, located on the west side of Koontz Street. As you make your way there, keep your eyes peeled for any items scattered around. You might find an Energy Drink by a police car on Wein Street, a Hammer on the east side of Canyon Street near a police car, and some Shotgun Ammo and a Crate in the alley on the east side of Green Pharmacy. You'll also find Service Pistol Ammo near the north side of Green Pharmacy, close to that alley. Don't forget a Health Drink on a table south of Cafe Sun, more Service Pistol Ammo north of Cafe Sun, and even more Service Pistol Ammo and an Energy Drink at the end of Wilson Street on the east side.

When you reach Andy's Books, head inside. You'll see a stand-up figure of a soldier – grab the ++ASSAULT RIFLE++ from it. There's also some Assault Rifle Ammo on a nearby bookstand to the left. The door in the back is locked for now. Check behind the cash register on the counter for a [SHOP NOTE] file.

This shop note is key to opening the locked cash register. You'll need a combination. The hint is to recall the apartment number from the Greenfield Apartments mailbox that was overflowing with mail. If you remember, that number was highlighted in light blue. The combination is 2 - 1 - 3. Enter that into the cash register, and you'll get the BOOKSTORE KEY. Use this key to unlock the back door and exit the building.

You'll emerge from Andy's Books right across from Alchemilla Hospital. This area is also worth checking for items. Look for a Toolbox near the hospital entrance, Shotgun Ammo and a Health Drink inside the hospital gates, a Health Drink and a Tire Iron at the end of the alley east of the Post Office, and Assault Rifle Ammo on a bench across from the Post Office. You can also find a Kitchen Knife sticking out of the Silent Hill map display on the east side of Crichton Street, and some Rifle Ammo in a trashcan across from the General Store.

Finally, head to the General Store on the south side of Crichton Street and go inside. There are a few items to grab here, including a [TILL RECEIPT] and a Health Drink from the counter. Once you're done, we can continue our journey.
