Alright, let's talk about Lo Wang, the guy you'll be playing as in the Shadow Warrior reboot series. He's your main man, the one you'll be controlling through all the demon-slaying action. So, Lo Wang started out as a corporate assassin, working for this big shot named Orochi Zilla. Things went sideways pretty fast, and he ended up on a path to save the world from some seriously ticked-off ancient gods and a whole lot of demons. Oh, and Zilla's own crazy ambitions, too. It's a bit of a mess, honestly. Lo Wang kind of messes things up by accidentally opening a door to an ancient dragon that could end everything. Talk about a bad day at the office. Knowing he's responsible, he tries to fix it, usually by doing more of the wrong thing, which is kind of his thing. ### Shadow Warrior (2013) In the first game, you're Lo Wang, an assassin for Orochi Zilla. Your first big job is to grab this ancient katana, the Nobitsura Kage, from a collector named Mizayaki. It'll cost you $2 million, but Mizayaki isn't having it. You try to take it by force, and things get messy. Here's where it gets wild: Mizayaki is connected to a demon named Hoji. You get captured, but then demons attack the place. Mizayaki buys it, and you end up teaming up with Hoji to get the sword. Turns out, the Nobitsura Kage is super powerful, capable of killing immortals and demons alike. It's actually three swords, so your mission is to find them all and put them together. Along the way, you'll run into these things called "Whisperers." They're like magical golems with memories inside. Taking them out lets you absorb those memories and learn more about the backstory. You'll find out about the Shadow Realm, where the demons live, and some pretty messed-up family drama involving Hoji, his sister Ameonna, and the ruler of the Shadow Realm, Enra. There's a whole saga about Hoji and Ameonna's relationship, a drought, Hoji getting punished by having his face skinned, and a plot to poison Ameonna. It's complicated, involving other brothers like Gozu, Mezu, and Xing. Basically, Hoji gets banished, and Enra wants the Nobitsura Kage to revive Ameonna. Your original goal was to get the sword for Zilla, but you end up turning on him. You'll betray fellow assassins, the Kyokagami twins, to help Hoji get the last piece of the sword. It turns out Zilla was holding a Whisperer hostage to get that last piece. You confront Zilla, who's been healed and given demonic powers by Enra. You fight him, get the upper hand, and he bails. Then, Hoji gets pulled back to the Shadow Realm. You use the last Whisperer to follow him. You learn Hoji regrets causing trouble and wants to fix things. He creates another Whisperer, wiping his memory of you. You convince him to team up again to stop Enra. Hoji wants to redeem himself by killing Enra and using his blood to revive Ameonna. Back on Earth, you face Zilla again and take off his sword arm. As you finally put the Nobitsura Kage together, Zilla escapes with the Kyokagami twins. The game ends with you having the full, powerful Nobitsura Kage.
