Hey there! So, you've probably picked up this weird Severed Hand item and are wondering what on earth it's good for in Resident Evil Requiem. Honestly, for the main story stuff, it's pretty much a dead end. But don't toss it just yet!

Your best bet is to take it over to a Blood Analyzer machine. You'll find these scattered around, but one is definitely in Rhodes Hill. Once you use it on the hand, it'll give you a DNA sequence to analyze, kind of like those other crafting recipes you've probably tinkered with.

After you analyze it, you'll get a little pop-up that says “let’s play.” This then leads to a series of codes that actually translate into RNA markings, spelling out the word GLITCH. Pretty cryptic, right?

This GLITCH code is super important because it gives you some clues later on. You'll need to investigate the Hourglass when you get access to the room near the helipad in the Courtyard. There's also a creepy doll head you can find in Central Raccoon City.
