How to Unlock Insanity Mode:

Insanity Mode becomes available as a difficulty option after you finish Resident Evil Requiem once on any difficulty. It is a New Game Plus exclusive, allowing you to carry over unlocked bonus weapons and cheats.

What Changes in Insanity Mode:

• Harder Enemies: Enemies have significantly more health, deal massive damage, move faster, and are more aggressive. Blister Heads appear earlier and more frequently.
• Different Collectibles and Currencies: Items, collectibles (like Antique Coins and Raccoon Statues), and currencies are often in different locations than on Standard difficulty.
• New Safe Codes: All safe codes are different and must be found and solved again.
• Ink Ribbons Required: The Ink Ribbon save system from Classic mode is used, limiting manual saves to Ink Ribbons found scattered throughout the map. Autosaves are less frequent.
• Chef Zombie Change: The Chef zombie no longer drops the Pantry Key.

Insanity Mode Tips:

• Utilize Bonus Content: Insanity Mode expects the use of bonus content. Unlocking Infinite Ammo is strongly recommended. Bonus weapons like the RPG and Infinite RPG are also highly beneficial.
• Helpful Unlocks: Consider unlocking Infinite Ribbons (by completing the game in under 4 hours) to remove save restrictions, Advanced Tuning for weapon upgrades, and Steroids/Body Armor for increased survivability.
• Combat Strategy: As Grace, avoid combat where possible. If fighting, aim for leg shots to stumble enemies and use Injectors for crucial Blister Heads. As Leon, parrying is key to surviving hard hits.
• Route Planning: Plan your routes carefully, utilizing resources like interactive maps to identify changes.

Completing Insanity Mode awards the “Remarkable Agent” achievement and 40,000 CP, which, combined with other challenge rewards, should be enough to unlock all items in the bonus shop.
