Hanging Bonnie Macfarlane

Alright, so you've got a mission involving Bonnie Macfarlane, and it sounds a bit grim. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it. First things first, head back to the marshal's office. You'll run into Bonnie's dad there, and he'll kick things off.

Next, you'll saddle up with the Marshal and his crew. They've got Deek, the hostage, with them as a bargaining chip. Your destination is Tumbleweed. Now, pay attention because as soon as you reach the entrance, it's an ambush! Get into cover right away. Use your short-range weapons on the enemies closest to you. You'll see a bandit up on the church roof – take him down, then switch to your rifle as you push into the town.

As you move deeper into the derelict town, you'll spot Bonnie hanging in the distance. Saving her isn't going to be a walk in the park, though. There are a bunch of enemies waiting, so you'll need to move from cover to cover, taking them out as they pop up.

After a cutscene where Bonnie is shown struggling, you need to act fast. You have two options to save her: 1) Use your Dead Eye ability to aim at the rope and shoot it, dropping Bonnie safely. 2) Ride up to her and cut her down manually. We highly recommend trying the Dead Eye option first from cover. If you miss, you can always try to run up and cut her down. Once she's free, another cutscene will play, and the mission will wrap up.
