The Desert Stalker, a formidable predator found in the scorching expanse of the Sunstone Desert, presents a unique challenge due to its speed, camouflage, and devastating pounce attacks. These creatures are masters of their environment, blending seamlessly with the sand and striking with lightning-fast precision. Facing them requires patience, keen observation, and a defensive playstyle that prioritizes evasion and counter-attacks.

Desert Stalkers are highly susceptible to sonic-based attacks and abilities that disrupt their senses. Weapons like the 'Resonant Flute,' which emits a disorienting sonic wave, can interrupt their charging attacks and leave them vulnerable for a brief period. The 'Stun Grenade' item is also incredibly effective, temporarily incapacitating the Stalker and allowing you to land several critical hits. When a Desert Stalker begins to burrow into the sand, indicated by a swirling dust cloud, it is preparing for its signature pounce attack. Listen for the distinct hiss that precedes this move and be ready to dodge. A successful dodge at the last second will often leave the Stalker exposed for a counter-attack, dealing an estimated 150% bonus damage.

Their camouflage ability makes them difficult to track. Always be aware of your surroundings and look for subtle disturbances in the sand. If you suspect a Desert Stalker is nearby but unseen, try using an item like the 'Scout Flare.' This will briefly illuminate the immediate area, potentially revealing a hidden Stalker and disrupting its stealth. Their primary attack pattern involves a series of swift claw swipes followed by a powerful pounce. Blocking these claw swipes is possible with a well-timed block, but the pounce attack is best avoided through evasion.
