To begin this request, you'll need to find an NPC named Mae. Mae is a member of the Pearl Clan and can be found in the Jubilife Village, usually near the entrance to the training grounds or the item shop. She will be distressed, explaining that one of her beloved Pokémon has wandered off into the harsh environment of the Alabaster Icelands and she needs your help to bring it back safely.

The Pokémon Mae has lost is Aipom. Aipom is a Normal-type Pokémon known for its playful and curious nature, which often leads it into trouble. Mae is particularly worried because Aipom is not accustomed to the extreme cold and dangers of the Icelands. Your task is to locate this Aipom and bring it back to Mae.

The primary location where you'll need to search for the lost Aipom is the Alabaster Icelands. Mae will give you a general direction, but the Aipom can be found in a few specific spots within this vast, snowy expanse. The most common and reliable spawn point for the Aipom you need to find is in the area known as the Bonechill Wastes. This area is characterized by its open, snowy plains and scattered large bones.

When you reach the Bonechill Wastes, you'll need to actively search for the Aipom. It's not always immediately visible, so keep your eyes peeled. The Aipom might be found near rock formations or in open areas. Once you spot the Aipom, you have two primary options to 'catch' it for Mae: you can either battle it and weaken it to catch it with a Poké Ball, or, if you prefer a stealthier approach, you can try to sneak up on it and catch it directly without engaging in a battle. Both methods are valid for completing the request.

After successfully catching the Aipom, you must return it to Mae in Jubilife Village. She will be overjoyed to have her Aipom back safe and sound. As a token of her gratitude for braving the Icelands and retrieving her lost companion, Mae will reward you with valuable items.
