Learn how to complete Research Tasks for every Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Master dodging, crafting, and reporting back to Professor Laventon with this guide.

Hey there! Let's talk about Research Tasks in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. These are super important for understanding and progressing with each Pokemon. The main thing to keep in mind is that every single Pokemon has its own unique set of Research Tasks. While you're out in the field, if you focus on a wild Pokemon, you can actually see what tasks are available for it right then and there. It's incredibly handy, so make sure you're checking this often!

Soon after, Akari or Rei will pop up to teach you the art of the Dodge using the [Y] button. Trust me, this is going to be a lifesaver for avoiding those pesky Pokemon attacks, so get comfy with it!

After the dodging lesson, they'll nudge you again to practice viewing Research Tasks for wild Pokemon, this time with a Bidoof nearby. They'll scamper off ahead, but don't hesitate to catch that Bidoof – it's a great chance to knock out a Research Task or two!

They'll then have you practice with a Starly, before leading you to an area where you'll encounter Buizel. Spend a little time practicing your catching skills here, and then follow them; your next lesson awaits.

Now, Akari/Rei will hand over a Crafting Kit and the Potions Crafting Recipe. This is a game-changer because it lets you craft items on the fly, no Workbench needed! It's super useful when you're running low on Poke Balls out in the wild. You can find the materials you need for crafting scattered all around the Aspiration Hill and Horseshoe Plains areas. In fact, take a look around – they've led you right to three Apricorn Trees!

After that, you'll be directed to report back to Professor Laventon. By this point, you should have a handful of Research Tasks completed, maybe even 20+ if you've been busy catching and battling. Just follow your Quest Marker back to the Fieldlands Camp.

Once you arrive at the camp, if your Pokemon need a little TLC (HP and PP wise), feel free to take a breather and rest at the tent. It'll restore them all to full, even if they were knocked out. This is a really handy trick to remember when you're out exploring – you don't always need to rely on items or rush back to a town just to heal your team!
