Land 8: The Aztecs [E.058]

Guide to conquering Land 8: The Aztecs in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Learn strategies for building, conquering villages, and defeating the final city.

Alright, you've made it to Land 8, also known as The Aztecs! This is a pretty big area, so get ready to do some building. Your first priority is to construct walls between the small mountains on the left side of the map. You'll see three spots where you can build them – make sure you get those up!

Once your defenses are solid, it's time to build a platoon and send them out to conquer the nearby villages. Some of these villages now have walls, so be prepared for a bit of a fight. The sooner you take them over, the better. If you conquer them quickly, you'll avoid having the hurricane miracle cast on you, and you might even be able to use it yourself later if you gather enough worshippers and wait long enough.

Warning: Archers can be a real pain for your creature. Try to get your creature to throw things at them to weaken them. If that's not an option, you can throw rocks yourself to soften them up before sending in your own archers. Make sure you send in significantly more archers than they have.

After you've taken over the town with the wonder, you can relax a bit and focus on building a productive city with plenty of food. Always try to bring villagers back to your main city to increase your population.

When you feel your city is strong enough, it's time to attack the main city. First, destroy their walls. Then, send in a smaller platoon of archers to take out their archers. After that, follow up with your creature, swordsmen, and more archers in that order. You should have a good handle on how to proceed from here.

This is the last easy land, so enjoy it while you can. You'll soon see why it's called easy!

Special Challenges in Land 8:

• Sundial: This is a speed challenge! You need to change the time of day so that all the torches are lit simultaneously. The clock positions you need to hit are left, down, up, and right, in that specific order. Just match the hand to the symbols on the clock face.

• Isle of Nymphs: The nymphs claim they need a special ingredient. Your task is to find a 21-year-old guy and throw him into the pot. Don't ask why he's the ingredient; just get the tribute!

• Rain Dance: You'll hear a tune played, and your job is to play it back. The order of the notes is randomly generated, so you'll need to listen carefully. Tune your ears to identify which drum makes which sound, and eventually, you'll get lucky and play it correctly. Have fun!
