Ready for another round of Persona 3 Reload? Learn exactly what carries over, what's new, and how to make the most of your New Game Plus playthrough.

So, you've beaten the final boss and seen the credits roll. Awesome! Before you dive back in, you'll want to know about New Game Plus (NG+). Think of it as a victory lap where you get to keep some of your hard-earned progress and tackle the game again, maybe on a tougher difficulty. You can choose to activate NG+ by loading your clear save data. Not everything transfers over, and some things are locked away until you start on Merciless difficulty, but don't worry, we'll break down exactly what you can expect.

Here's what you'll get to keep when you start a New Game Plus:

• Play Time: Yep, your total playtime carries over. It's a badge of honor!
• Yen: All the money you painstakingly earned is yours to keep. Time to buy all those fancy Personas!
• Status Parameters: Your character's core stats are preserved.
• Persona Compendium: All the Personas you've registered? They're back, and even better – you get discounts on them!
• MC's Level: Your protagonist's level stays the same.
• Party Member HP/SP Bonuses: All those boosts you worked for? They're still active.
• Party Member Incense Stat Boosts: Any permanent stat increases from Incense are kept.
• Equipment: All your gear transfers over.
• Costumes: Most outfits are kept, but sadly, the SEES Uniforms are mandatory and won't carry over.
• Consumable Items: All your healing items, buffs, and other consumables are saved.
• Skill Cards: Got a great Skill Card? You'll still have it.
• Materials: All your crafting and fusion materials are safe.
• Twilight Fragments: These precious fragments carry over.
• Souvenirs from NPCs: Certain special items given by characters will transfer.
• Persona Unlocking Items: Items used to unlock specific Personas are kept.
• Shadow Analysis: Your bestiary progress is preserved.
• Downloadable Content: Any DLC you've acquired will be available.

However, some things won't make the jump to your next playthrough:

• Party Member Levels: Your teammates will start back at level 1, except for the MC.
• Theurgies: Most unique Theurgy attacks are reset, but Fusion Spells you've learned will carry over.
• Personas in Your Deck: Any Personas you currently have equipped or in your active party will be gone.
• All Other Items: This is a broad category, but basically, if it wasn't listed above as carrying over, it's gone.
• Social Links: You'll need to rebuild your bonds from scratch.
• Elizabeth's Requests: Her questline resets.
• Missing Persons: The requests to find missing people are reset.

What's new and exciting in Persona 3 Reload's New Game Plus?

• New Dialogue Options: You'll unlock a couple of new conversation choices that weren't available the first time around.
• A New Weapon: There's a special weapon waiting for you that you can only get in NG+.

A quick note on difficulty: If you decide to start your NG+ on Merciless difficulty, some of the mandatory items (like your Play Time and Costumes) will still transfer, but most other things won't. It's a true challenge run!
