Follow this Persona 3 Reload April walkthrough to achieve 100% completion, covering story events, lessons, and important choices. Includes tips for difficulty and gameplay mechanics.
HIGHLY IMPORTANT! HIGHLY IMPORTANT! HIGHLY IMPORTANT! HIGHLY IMPORTANT! HIGHLY IMPORTANT!
Make sure to read the Important Notes section before starting this walkthrough. Without the information in that section, you will start falling behind the walkthrough. And on that note, enjoy the walkthrough!
This walkthrough will be focused on completing this game 100% in one playthrough, with an optional second playthrough for some optional content. Before we begin, check the Config menu to adjust the settings of the game however you like. And with that, let's begin!
There are 5 difficulties to choose from, and they can be switched at any time (except Merciless). This choice only affects battles, and will have no impact on any other part of the game. This guide can be completed on any difficulty. However, the higher difficulties can make it hard to follow this walkthrough if you aren't familiar with them. I will be choosing Normal difficulty.
NOTE!
Merciless difficulty cannot be switched to during the game. You must start the game with Merciless, and cannot return to it if you lower the difficulty. Completing the game on Merciless will give you an exclusive Key Item. It is currently unknown what this item does, and is assumed to be purely for bragging rights.

Entering Your Name
Make sure to enter your given name first and your family name second. The canon name in the manga is Minato Arisato, and the canon name in the anime and video games is Makoto Yuki.
Responses
You frequently will be able to respond to a character by choosing a response to give. Normally during the story these responses don't matter. However, there are certain responses late in the game that determine what ending you will get. I will be sure to make note of them when they happen.
Saving
You can save at any time except for when you are in a dungeon and certain points during the story.
IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT!
Make sure to save often! (WAQ1: Why do I need to save frequently?)
Rewind
Rewind is essentially an autosave feature that will automatically save your last 2-3 days of gameplay. This can be very handy if you make a mistake in the guide and need to backtrack. However, this feature is NOT a replacement for keeping backup saves and should not be relied on, as this feature will not help if you need to backtrack farther than a few days.
Tutorials
Tutorials can be viewed at any time in the Main Menu under System.
Closet
By checking the closet, you will receive any DLC you have purchased. These are not required for the walkthrough, but may help out if you are having trouble.
Bed
You can examine the bed to go to sleep. Unless we are forced to go to sleep, we will be ignoring the bed.

Advice
Outside of fulfilling certain objectives for 100% completion, this walkthrough will not focus on dungeons or battles. However, I will be offering advice as we go through the game to help you clear dungeons easily. There is a lot of info to go over, so lets take it one step at a time.
To start, there are two basic types of attacks you can use. Melee attacks, and Persona Skills. Melee attacks are weaker than other attacks, but weapons can be bought later in the game to increase damage. Persona Skills are more powerful, but will cost either HP or SP. Keep a close eye on your health, because if MC's HP hits 0, then it's game over.
Each Skill has a certain type of affinity, and most e
